Another rainy day means a few more updates to the blog: I’ve been making some beer and dandelion wine lately. I think I may have done something wrong with the beer, because it is foaming crazily over the fermentation trap, while the wine looks nice and calm.

I also tried making cottage cheese with this recipe, but it was downright awful. It ended up tasting like salted vinegar. I think that I just need to do a better job of rinsing it.

    You are suppose to attach a tube to the carboy before fermentation begins and leave the tube attached while vigorous fermentation is occurring. Once fermentation slows down then you add the fermentation trap. The beer is probably fine, you are just suppose to let some of the gas escape.
